Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Business Improvement Manager (f/m) , in the Process, Methods & Tools activity, within the Customer Services Retrofit Solutions.

In this position you will join a transnational team of 7 people in Toulouse, Hamburg and Bremen, sharing business improvement activities in an international context through internal and external stakeholders (from China, India, United States, Spain, UK…).

This activity aims at supporting the Retrofit Solutions businesses in efficiently and reliably achieving their mission targets by monitoring, improving and maintaining the means they use.

Your challenges:

One of the main challenges for this particular position will be to define, develop, deploy new innovative ways to manage our digital data in current and future environments (in particular Export Control adherence) in order to enable centralised and uniform data (Engineering/Production Quality & Performance etc.) sharing/exchange throughout the organisation and at all hierarchical levels.

In this context, you will ensure availability of Methods & Tools for Retrofit Solutions processes utilised business applications (e.g. SAMM, C4U, Skywise, Small Apps, [email protected] & BoT’s) in line with the workflow management, engineering/configuration management/authoring, and different projects in an agile, complex & integrated environment.

In this challenging frame, you will contribute to Projects and act as a consultant for all Export Control topics influencing our processes and tools

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Secure/support the Retrofit Solutions tools robustness and performance, in line with team objectives and needs and manage/reduce the impact of IT-tool obsolescence on end users

  • Lead Retrofit Solutions process optimisation and simplification through continuous improvement initiatives across the department operational teams – Manage projects and lead work packages

  • Contribute to Retrofit Solutions Process, Methods & Tools (PM&T) change projects to improve the Retrofit Solutions engineering & production related Process, Method and Tools. Ensure a synergy/collaboration with other Customer Services department’s PM&T governance.

  • Manage interfaces with Retrofit (Service Bulletins – SB) stakeholders to push/support Retrofit Solution needs towards the M&T governance. Active lobbying to have Retrofit Solutions tool needs embodiment in IT backbones and lead the whole process from E2E

  • Support management of operations, processes and tools specifically for respecting Export Control constraints

  • Lead the E2E Definition and deployment of all tools and processes to ensure or enhance department activities

  • Functional support for the end-users of applications

  • Drive the run mode of the applications

  • Coordinate and validate evolutions or improvements needed for any applications and manage interfaces with other functional areas

  • Standardise & harmonise Methods & Tools with regard to Retrofit Solutions Processes & continuous improvement

Your boarding pass:

  • Good experience in Project Management and work package leading

  • Profound knowledge on Export Control Regulations

  • Advanced level in GSuite, SAP and Skywise

  • Problem Solving: Open to new ideas and focused on finding solutions

  • High level of IT knowledge regarding business requirements management and tool development

  • Strong communication skills and assertiveness

  • Ability to challenge and convince

  • Negotiation level in French and English
