The Global Banking Team is in charge of the Global Relationship with clients. The Global Banking team is composed of Global Account Managers (Senior Bankers), who are supported by Associates (Origination Relationship Managers (ORM) and Client Managers (CM)).

The Transaction Banking sales team is in charge of developing the relationship with existing and prospect clients on the trade and cash angle supporting the Global Banking Team as one of the main product partner of the Global Banking Team

The intern will support both teams Global Banking and Transaction Banking

  • Commercial relationship with the clients
  • Credit Responsibilities
  • Follow up Deal Execution around Trade mainly Guarantee business
  • Organise and ensure follow up for in country calls to determine opportunities and in country new regulation
  • Support RFP process when need

Key role and responsibilities:

a) Day to day Tasks:

  • Annual Credit Reviews: The intern will participate in the annual reviews at group or parent company level. The intern will also participate in the reviews of local credit requests
  • Reporting
  • Know Your Customer

b) Commercial Tasks:

  • Prospection
  • Briefing Notes: To prepare meeting with Clients and Prospects.
  • Prepare PowerPoint Presentations (Pitches) Ad hoc studies

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Particular education background / knowledge needed:

student, BAC+4/5 from a business school or University

Advanced Knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel,

Fluent in English and ideally French speaker
