Product Manager to our Ninja team.
Product Development Org within SharkNinja drives our global product roadmap from concept to shelf through the constant lens of the consumer. Product Development are the “product CEOs” and partner cross-functionally with almost every other team within the company to drive high satisfaction for our end user and to drive business results. Product Management within country, will partner closely with Product Development to bring products to life. We are comprised of individuals from a variety of professional and educational backgrounds, from product managers to consumer-focused engineers – but we all have one thing in common: we’re consistently striving to deliver a 5-star experience for every customer on every product we bring to market.
The Product Manager is responsible for new product introduction process within their local market defines, develops, and implements new products globally from proof of concept to retail launch and often have continued impact beyond. You will relentlessly and successfully drive continuous innovation and seek to deliver 5-star customer experiences across the global business for SharkNinja. You have the mindset that anything is possible and possess the willingness to do whatever it takes to win.
As a Product Manager, you work daily with the Regional Hub global team to synchronize on goals, priorities, and responsibilities across offices. You will provide daily direction and inspiration to the team through not just management, but hands-on design work as the leader.

Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:

  • Oversee a rolling 6-24 month pipeline of new products within your categories to launch within your local market. This team’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Partnering with Regional Product Development on creating product definitions, consumer-relevant design targets, and performance KPIs, including creation/drive toward critical messaging claims
  • Developing and maintaining channel management strategy within a product family
  • Partnering with the Regional team createconsumer-centric product collateral, including instruction manuals and informational stickers
  • Understand regional and local compliance risks/issues, and be an advocate in early development to ensure on time delivery and compliance to all local requirements
  • Deep dive on GFK data in your local market to identify opportunities and gain market knowledge.
  • Lead the creation of the business case to identify need and opportunity for NPD in your local market ensuring your market

  • Plan SKU extension strategy and kick off for promo periods to create a consolidated launch – colours, configs, exclusive models, etc
  • Hands-on validation, both regionally and locally within the support markets, using the proven SN methodologies that gain internal confidence and support product readiness
  • Monitor Ninja and competitor product reviews to identify strengths/weaknesses and feed into the Regional teams as part of the PD process
  • Working with the Regional Hub team manage the product exit planning and replacement strategy with the local sales management teams
  • With the Regional Hub teams drive and enable swift decision making —provide clear direction to the teams to empower decisions be made among peers within working programs
  • Be an advocate for your local market, and connect the dots to your cross functional team mates to deliver success in your market
  • Work closely with cross-functional local and Regional Hub teammates to convey the strategic vision and goals for the product portfolio, with clear and frequent communication
  • Lead “Holiday Morning” team reviews at each build, and capture clear notes, photos, and actions of each product issue, providing clear local needs for all product changes – touchpoints, out of box experience, UI, functionality, etc.
  • Be willing to win as a team, partnering closely with a local and Regional matrixed organization to drive decision making and business goals
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel, with ability to prioritize for self and team
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to hold team, self, and cross functional teams accountable to deadlines
  • Serve as a thought-leader in product launch alongside critical sales and brand marketing leaders – ensure that the “triad” of product, marketing, and sales execution comes together for every new launch.
  • Be the technical expert for the country marketing team to translate product into the marketing sizzle for the retailer and beyond
  • Be engaged in SN cadence of Regional and local reviews and in-person reviews.
  • Provide regular clear communication and reporting with direct leadership
  • Communicate and present new product launches to the local sales team and retailers – excite retailers about the new product launches to gain buy in for upcoming product launches
  • Must represent the local voice of the consumer and hold consumer experience above all else.
  • Consistently deliver 5-star products and an overall high-quality consumer experience
  • Critically analyze global consumer feedback throughout a program’s life to drive 5-star consumer satisfaction by mass production
  • An unwavering resolve to deliver 5-star rated products in a challenging, yet highly rewarding, development environment
  • Build, retain, and manage an A-player team. Manage performance and talent development with clear talent development plans in place
  • Identify talent gaps and share openly with direct leadership
  • Provide training and mentorship to less experienced team members
  • Be nimble and flexible; adapt quickly to changing circumstances or new insights
  • Be in the details and hands on; think strategically but drive to action
  • Clearly articulate Product Solutions and Challenges to the Regional teams and translate these into highly-impactful projects
  • Set priorities and keep momentum going on a mix of projects and project timelines. Respond quickly to shifting priorities without losing sight of longer-range projects and goals
  • Challenge assumptions and think innovatively to solve complex problems creatively
  • Hold cross-functional engagement sessions and encourage “new” thinking and ways to iteratively improve

Attributes & Skills

  • 6+ years of related Product Management experience with global market presence
  • BS in Engineering or related discipline, Master’s or Advanced Degree a plus
  • Extensive experience leading consumer-centered innovation projects
  • A “100% on” consumer-first perspective when it comes to introducing new products/processes or improving current products
  • Intuition on what consumers want and what works in the marketplace
  • Open to pursuing multiple paths to get to the best solution and not being too proud of your own ideas to listen to others
  • Embody strong SN mindset, and willingness to keep challenging oneself and peers
  • Ability to lead a dynamic, fast paced, deadline driven team
  • Highly-effective communication skills – both written (presentation/email) and in-person (ability to host succinct, effective conversations that solve problems and ability to make effective presentations to all levels of management)
  • A desire to learn and grow in a passionate environment
  • Analytical and quantitative skills; experience using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
  • Respect and understanding of other disciplines; including Industrial Design, User Experience, Electronics, Quality and Manufacturing
  • Ability to travel
